Cricket is coming home. That’s right! Believe it or not, the sport of Cricket is becoming one of the most popular sports in the Nagaland State.
Today, cricket is most popular in India, But over the last few years cricket is growing in Nagaland because of the initiative of Nagaland Cricket Association.

“Ten years ago, if you were a parent in the Nagaland, you weren’t saying that you wanted your son to grow up and play cricket for the Nagaland. You wanted them to play football because he’s going to earn a living that way.
“But times are changing now. Guys are getting paid to play cricket, which is great. It’s only going to get better through performances and how the state team goes.”

Here I bring you the story of one of Nagaland Cricket club named as Das Brother's Cricket Club. Das Brother's players belongs to Bengali Community who started playing Cricket since 2002 named as Bengali Cricket Club Unofficial club. Usually Bengali Community are known for playing football and a sports lovers community. A teen-ager boy named Dokina Das then (2002) had some vision for his team after playing cricket since 2002 they started imitating some club and local teams during that era and naming team name as Bengali Cricket Club, following like others club norms that's how they started their cricket journey. 
It helped Bengali Cricket Club with the concept of playing cricket with Sportsmanship and team spirit. The Bengali cricket clubs began playing matches.

Today in 1st march 2020, significantly club was officially founded by a patron named Dokina Das as DAS BROTHER'S CRICKET CLUB which is being Sponsored by Vicky Das, Karan Das, Subankar Das. With the help of this person they formed their own Cricket Club officially. They had to wait for a long time to fulfill their dreams. Their are also many unsung name who contributed significantly to Das Brother's Cricket Club upliftment from 2002 till present.

According to Club Manager & Founder Dokina Das in his telephonic interview said the main motive of his club is to promote cricket in Nagaland. He further said 
“I’m so used to saying that cricket isn’t a big sport over here before 10 years back,” but now I feel like it’s growing massively in Nagaland. “I think the initiative of the Nagaland Cricket Association over the last four or five years have really helped. I wouldn’t say we’ve boosted the profile, but I think thatn there is a future in cricket and what I couldn't achieve in my teen-ager I want my boys to achieve that goal through my initiative. Das Brother's Cricket Club officially is for the cricket lovers and now we are just dealing with Tennis Ball Club but soon we are planning to come with with good infrastructure and will play stitch ball cricket. This is just our beginning we have lots of planing coming ahead for the club and my players.
Asking him about why naming his team name as Das Brother's Cricket Club he further said It all started while playing 5th Unity Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament 2020  organized by Nepali Baptist Church Chümoukedima Youth Department during one of its match while playing the game the commentators have them the name tag of Das Brother's so it gave them motivation to name his team as Das Brother's since almost all the players had Das in their Surname. 

For now their office is situated at Dokina Das it's Manager Resident and they practice cricket in a small Ground which is located at Nihoto. Currently they have 18 players in their club Mintu Das as Head Coach, Liton Das as Captain, Mona Das as Vice Captain and Dokina Das as Team Manager.

As specific after knowing more about the club as a writer I feel this is no ordinary cricket club. Das Brother's Cricket Club Inaugurated in 1st march 2020, can become a magnet for cricket lovers throughout the Nagaland State. “It is unique,” “They have Christians, Muslims and Hindus players here." Good example of unity in diversity.

Dokina Das is one of the greatest personality and currently working as Assistant professor Department of Commerce at Mount Mary college Chümoukedima, Dimapur Nagaland is working from the grassroots level and supporting his club through his experience he says "cricket is a game that has No Boundaries. It’s cricket for all."
