Voice Hunt season-III 2019 Concludes

One Day Nepali gospel singing competition Voice Hunt Season-III Organized by Nepali Baptist Church Chumukedima Youth Ministry at   Chumukedima Town Hall on 22nd September2019 with 13 Finalist performing at the competition. Held under the theme ‘Praise his name,’ the event was organized with a focus to inspire, enrich, and motivate the Christian Gorkha youths under AGBCN both spiritually and musically.

 Its principal aim was to nurture and provide platform to the Christian Gorkha youths and Teenagers of Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland and also to develop their music skills. The Music Ministry also aimed to make use of Music to strengthen friendship and to bridge the gap between Gorkha communities.

This was the third time the community of Gorkha NBC Chümoukedima youth department took initiative of organising singing competition for Christian Gorkha singers.

The programme was graced by Retd. Assistant Director School Education Government of Nagaland, M.B. Aley, who in his speech focused on how music plays an important role in the life of youth and encouraged each participant to glorify Lord with their God, given talents. In his speech he encouraged the youths to have the spirit and passion of dignity of labour.

The Voice Hunt included Special performance from Yeshi Thapa, Winner of Voice Hunt Season-I & Season-II, also a mesmerizing performance was given by Gorkha Baptist Church Diphupar. Performance by the judges of Voice Hunt was attraction of the event where the renowned Gorkha artist Tshering Lama, from Dimapur Town Nepali Baptist Church Duncan and Raj Chettri from Gorkha Christian church the judges of Voice Hunt gave their performance.

Sponsor for the prize money of the Event was most respected ma'am Annie Jain Director of Dimapur 24/7 who sponsored for the 1st prize i.e Free audio Recording for the Singer. While 2nd and 3rd Runner's up cash prize was sponsored by Mr. Vizovotuo Yhoshu concerned citizen of Chümoukedima Town.

All together 13 contestants from Nine different Gorkha Churches of Dimapur, Nagaland took part in the event namely NBC Medziphema, GBC Diphupar, GCC Darogapathar, GBC Thahekhu, GBC Tseminyu, GBF Tsongsa, DTNBC Duncan, GBC Thilixu, NBC Padumpukhuri.

 Winners of the Nepali gospel voice hunt season - III winners were,

The first prize was bagged by Ruth Chettri of Gorkha Baptist Church Thilixu; second prize was grabbed by Alika Thapa of Gorkha Baptist Church Thahekhu; while third was grabbed by miss. Maya Chetri of Gorkha Christian church Darogapathar.
