The Department of Bachelor of Business Administration, St Joseph’s College SJC (Autonomous), Jakhama hosted its 10th Convergence Fest on September 20 and 21 under the theme: Retrospect, Innovate, and Transcend.
The event was planned and organised by the Department of BBA and financed by various sponsors from around Nagaland.
A press release from the College stated the main objective of the Fest was to promote and refine talents among College students of Nagaland through healthy inter collegiate competitions.
Theja Meru, Advisor, Task Force for Music and Arts, Government of Nagaland graced the inaugural session as Guest of Honour and key note speaker.
In his speech, Meru emphasized the importance of becoming the best in this increasingly competitive world. “Good is not enough anymore,” he said.

A total of nine colleges along with all the Departments of the Host College participated, which included Tetso College, St Joseph’s University, Unity College from Dimapur and Don Bosco College, Model Christian College, Japfu Christian College, Kohima Science College, Sazolie College and Capital College from Kohima.

The participants competed in various items such as innovative pitch, Mad-Ads, Mister and Miss Convergence, Convergence idol etc.
Tovito Sheqi and Lika yepthomi from MBA 3rd Semester SJU won the Convergence Race 2019 respectively.
While Kammang Singson of BBA won the third position in poster Designing
The overall winner of the event went to the Department of BBA of the host College.
All together from St. Joseph university Nagaland including from BBA and MBA 18 students went together leaded by Department of management studies president Mr. Merentemsu Longkumer.
Tovito Sheqi, secretary of Department of management studies stated It was a great experience for the students as they learn more about how to use their talent when opportunity is next to them.
Though we couldn't win all the event but participating in the event was a great achievement for all.
